We’re a Auckland-based team with a hands-on, down-to-earth approach. Whether we’re building from the ground up or transforming an existing space, we bring passion, pride, and precision to every job — big or small.
We’ve created a strong team culture where values matter and people stick around — in fact, many of our crew have been with us for five years or more. That stability and trust shows through in everything we do.

Led by owners Rod and Jan, Ace Landscapes has grown into a trusted name in the industry. Rod’s decades of technical experience and eye for detail, combined with Jan’s knack for keeping things running smoothly, form the backbone of a business built on honesty, reliability, and genuine care for people.

Meet Rod & Jan – The Heart Behind Ace Landscapes
Rod and Jan are the passionate owners of Ace Landscapes, bringing over 25 years of hands-on experience, industry knowledge, and dedication to every project. From the beginning, they’ve built the business on strong values: quality work, open communication, and genuine care for their clients.
Rod leads with deep technical expertise and a sharp eye for detail, while Jan keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Together, they’re a team that understands both the big picture and the small things that make a lasting difference.
Their care doesn’t stop at clients — they’ve created a supportive, values-driven culture within the team. Many of the crew have been with Ace Landscapes for five years or more, and that loyalty speaks volumes. The team shares Rod and Jan’s passion, work ethic, and pride in doing things right.
Outside of the business, Rod and Jan are committed to their local community. Both are actively involved in the Papakura Coastguard Unit — these days, Rod more so. He serves as the Skipper/Master of their two rescue vessels, which operate across the challenging Manukau Harbour and rugged West Coast from Raglan to Kaipara. Although he’s stepped back from leading the unit, he continues to serve on the committee, train volunteers, and run public education on bar awareness.
Rod and Jan also support causes close to their hearts, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and the Marici Foundation. Their commitment to doing good — both through their work and in the community — is just part of what makes Ace Landscapes something special.

Behind every successful landscaping project is a dedicated team working together to ensure every detail is carefully managed. From your initial enquiry and project pricing through to construction, communication and final completion, these are the people you'll work with most throughout your journey with Ace Landscapes.
Kerry Mumford - Construction Manager
Kerry leads the construction division at Ace Landscapes, managing projects from planning through to completion. He works closely with clients and site teams to ensure each landscape is delivered to the highest standard, coordinating resources, maintaining quality, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Monique Luke - Finance & Business Manager
Monique oversees the financial and operational administration of Ace Landscapes, ensuring the business runs efficiently behind the scenes. Her role spans finance, HR, health and safety, systems implementation, business development, marketing, customer experience, and operational support, helping connect every part of the business while driving continual improvement.
John Lee - Senior Quantity Surveyor
John is Ace Landscapes' Senior Quantity Surveyor and is responsible for preparing accurate estimates, pricing, and project cost management. He works closely with clients and the delivery team to ensure proposals are commercially sound, projects remain financially on track, and clients receive practical, cost-effective landscaping solutions.
